If it's your first time visiting Singapore, here's a guide to the places you need to visit in the lion city.
Instagram is littered with amazing and beautiful images of the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. Those drone pics are just mesmerizing to look at and when we visited the Balkan countries, Plitvice Lakes was in the itinerary. I'd like to share that experience and let you know my thoughts after the visit.
Tokyo is a bustling Metropolitan city. It is the most densely populated city in the world. If it's your first time here, it can get overwhelming to navigate the city and figure out what is worth doing. So here's my guide to 12 of the best things to do and places to see in this city.
I don't get a lot of chance to travel but when I do, I hope to see as much of the world as possible. When we were planning activities in Dubrovnik, I found out Montenegro is like only a few hours away. Without hesitating, that was definitely going into the itinerary.
We followed a day tour organized from the hotel, which picked us up at 7am. The tour consists of visits to the towns/cities of Budva and Kotor, the capital of Montenegro. 4 hours from Dubrovnik (after guest pickups and a 5 minutes ferry ride), we arrived in the southern town of Budva. The only thing I knew about and looked forward to was the dancer statue somewhere by the coast.
Arriving somewhere near Greco beach, I just followed the coastline southbound, passing through the marina and old town. The statue was easy to spot and it perfectly stood at a spot where I can catch the old town and the nearby Sveti Nikola island in the background. It seems there are a number of conflicting stories about the meaning behind this statue. Some say it's about a love story between a dancer and a sailor, with the dancer waiting for the sailor's return. How romantic!

Arguable, of course, but to me, compared to Krabi and Phuket, Koh Lipe is miles better. I absolutely enjoyed my trip to this lesser known paradise earlier this year. Here are some of my reasons why...
The Balkan countries have been through war and unrest but is well on its way to recovery. Bosnia and Herzegovina was caught in the center of this conflict and went through devastation in those days. Nowadays, it is rebuilding itself and travelers are now flocking here for its rich history and beautiful nature. I got to experience the best the country has to offer in a day's time and here are the highlights. A must!

Mention Croatia and the first destination in everyone's mind is of course Dubrovnik. The beautiful coastal city along the Adriatic Sea. One of my stop on my last Europe trip was to this city to see what all the hype was about. With 1 full day to discover the main Old Town, these are the activities that I got to experience.
We came to Dubrovnik via Bosnia as we had arrange a day tour around the country ending in this city. We travelled along the coast and went in and out of immigration twice as there was a small part of the coast that was part of Bosnia. We stayed in Orasac which is about 20 minutes away from the Old Town. Quiet enough from the hectic of the city but still easily accessible.
The next day, time to explore the Old Town. As always, I'd always want to find somewhere that I can get a bird's eye view of the city I visit. The best place for this was to ride up a cable car that goes up to Mount Srd. A round trip ticket costs 150 Croatian Kuna and can be purchased at a lot of the ticket outlets in Old Town or at the cable car station itself. The time we visited, there was a long and confusing queue that people ended up cutting lines. Grrr. I think we spent a little over half an hour of queueing in the hot sun. There are restaurants and souvenirs up top but nothing more. However, the view here is amazing. I got to see the whole of Old Town and its surrounding as well as the nearby Lokrum island.
Once we're back down, it's time to go into the Old Town gates. Strictly no vehicles, the alleys and streets are all pedestrian only and is just a delight to discover. We entered from the north gate heading towards the main street Stradun. From here, it's your playground to discover the old town. In the town itself, there are many restaurants to try and shops to purchase your souvenirs. It's very touristy I would say, as with all other historically preserved old towns in Europe. I returned at night as well to see the town lit up by the Stardun as well as the Old Port in the east.
